Save delay in lab data

Description

I am trying to input data into the entry fields under the laboratory tests (regardless of test type)and then save it. I was expecting that the saving process will only take a few milliseconds. However, what actually happened took a very long time to do so (3-5 seconds) which temporarily hangs the whole application during the process.
